Successful 1st Official Eurasia Chinese Corner

Thanks to the hard work of the Eurasia University International Office, the Silk Road Start Chinese teachers, and the Global Club student volunteers the first Official Eurasia University Chinese Corner was a big success. Currently the plan is to hold Chinese corners to help foreign students and teachers practice their Chinese language once per month. Stay tuned to Social Media (Facebook & WeChat account) for information about  the next event!

Last weeks Chinese corner started with a warm up game to help everyone feel more comfortable with each other.  This game involved each group following a leaders dance moves and passing it to one of the other teams.

Then some time was given for each table to make self-introductions in Chinese and begin to get to know each other.

Then we played game reminiscent of the western game telephone with phrases from Chinese operas. Followed by more some group discussion and sharing.

The Eurasia International office provided coffee, tea, and snacks to encourage a warm and friendly environment for building friendships and communicating in Chinese.

Speaking Chinese is a challenge but we hope this activity inspired some of the foreign teachers and students to not give up! See the video below to hear some of the feedback from last weeks participants.  We look forward to another Chinese corner activity next month! Follow this blog or our scan the below QR Code to follow our official WeChat Account to be notified when details are released!
